Turo is a privacy-first, offline password manager for iPhone and iPad that securely stores passwords, credentials, 2FA codes, secure notes, and sensitive information directly on the user's device without relying on cloud storage or external servers.
Modern password managers often depend on cloud synchronization and recurring subscriptions, requiring users to entrust sensitive credentials to external infrastructure.
The challenge was to create a password manager centered around privacy and offline ownership, where sensitive information remains locally stored while still providing the convenience, security tools, organization, and user experience expected from a modern password manager.
Turo was engineered as a fully offline password management application where credentials and sensitive information remain locally on the user's device.
The application combines an encrypted vault with native biometric authentication, PIN protection, 2FA authentication, password security tools, encrypted backups, activity tracking, and an offline AI assistant. This provides users with a comprehensive credential management experience without requiring their vault data to be stored or processed on external servers.
The application was independently designed, engineered, and published to the Apple App Store with a privacy model that does not collect user data.
