Swapifine is a location-based community marketplace that connects users within a defined radius, allowing them to discover nearby listings and easily swap, buy, or sell items while communicating directly within the platform.
Traditional online marketplaces connect users across large geographic areas, which can make simple buying, selling, and swapping more complicated due to distance, delivery costs, and limited trust between users.
Swapifine was conceptualized as a location-based community marketplace where users within a defined radius could discover each other's listings and conveniently swap, buy, or sell items within their local community.
The challenge was building a complete marketplace ecosystem that could support location-based discovery, transactions, communication, user verification, and item management while keeping the experience simple and accessible.
Swapifine was developed as a location-based marketplace and swapping platform that connects users within a defined community radius.
Users can discover nearby listings, post their own items, negotiate directly through real-time messaging, and choose whether to swap, buy, or sell. The platform combines location-based discovery with marketplace features such as order tracking, ratings, verification, notifications, wishlists, and a credits system.
The completed platform was presented as our final capstone project and was awarded Best Capstone Project among our batch. I was also recognized as Best Presenter / Best Individual, reflecting both my individual contribution and presentation of the project.
